Providing amateur radio communications across Swindon and North Wiltshire
Unfortunately our repeaters do not run on fresh air, but by an enthusiastic group of radio amateurs.
Membership
-
Membership fees and generous donations go towards running and maintaining the Ridgeway Repeater Group network of repeaters.
Here are some of the costs we need to cover:-
- Site rental and electricity around - £800 per year.
- Insurance around £200 a year.
- Maintenance costs, at around £200 per year.
With the size of the group as it stands, we only just cover the costs of keeping the repeaters on the air.
It would be really appreciated, that if you use any of our repeaters, you join the group or at least consider making a donation to the group.
Membership costs a modest £15 per year and runs from our Annual General Meeting in May for 12 months.
You are of course welcome to join the group at any time during the year.
